Re: Error in connection from Agent to replication server
I found the solution myself:
The interfaces file entry for Replication Server & RSSD uses “localhost” as the name of the machine where they reside. If the primary DB isn't on the same machine as the Rep. Server, the interfaces file entry must be changed to use either the machine name or the IP address of the machine.

When you installed the product did you get a license for RepAgent for HANA?
Your error message is is showing that it cannot find a license for the RepAgent?

Rep Het SQL to SQL table column issue
Hi, I have a SAP Replication Heterogeneous SQL Server to SQL Server active, and the primary database is in Cluster Active/Passive. The database was initialized on a single node, and the cluster node move to the another node, I tried to add a column to a table and return the error "Could not find stored procedure 'sys.sp_SybSetLogforLOBCol'" and move the cluster node again to the inicial node, and I could add the column but after a while I'm realizing that replicates the table all columns except the column to add.
What I have to do to get to replicate the column without having to delete and recreate it?

SAP sybase DR installation error(sapinst,natting ips)

We are in a process of building SAP sybase DR.We are using same ips for both primary and DR(but diff VPNs). we are using natting IP concept. We are facing below error message which is attached Thanks in advance.
From primary to DR(nating ip)...server is pinging and vice-versa.

Looking at the details, the transaction is "dump transaction " on source database getting replicated to target database. This happens if connection to the target has dump_load set to on. Typically used when you are using a feature called coordinated dumps. This is not governed by any repdef but by connection level setting. In my post on 2nd below I have suggested the remedy !!

Add license after installation
Hi Everybody,
I installed a Replication Agent for Oracle using the trial license since SAP had forgotton to add my correct licenses.
How do in add the license after the installation is done and RepAgent is running.
I cant seem to find anything other than adding the license during installation.
Hope someone knows.

Once you get your correct licenses you will generate on for your host and then put that license file in place per the installation instructions.
Once the license is in place and RAO starts up it will find it and check it out and RAO will function normally.
So you need to make sure your licenses are created in the Service Market Place for your installation and you will then be set to check out your RAO license.

Found the location Z:\SYBASE\SYSAM-2_0\licenses
Right now there is only an "empty" file. So it seems right.
I will try it out, once I get the license.

It should off on both source and target connections.
As clarified above if happened once you can skip that transaction and forget about it.
If it is happening even after setting dump_load off for the two connections then it may be time to open case/incident with SAP/Sybase folks

Starting Replication Server as a service in Windows
Hi Everybody,
I have installed Replication Server and would like this Server to run as a Service. When I run it now from command line or from pathfinder i have a window 'hanging' - meanwhile the server runs well (I am unsuccesfull in starting it witout this prompt hanging):
So I have created a new service by using the following command:
sc create DWH_RS binPath= "C:\SYBASE\REP-15_5\bin\repsrvr.exe -SDWH_RS -CC:\SYBASE\DWH_RS.cfg -EC:\SYBASE\DWH_RS.log -IC:\SYBASE\ini\sql.ini" error=ignore start=auto displayname= "Replication Server DWH_RS"
When I try to start this service (from Services dialogue), it get the following message after less than 30 secs:
In the Server log I can see that the Server is in fact started, until services stops it with the message shown above.
